Every Monday we spotlight one of our stellar employees. This week it’s none other than our permanent graphic design intern, Christian. Here’s what he said:

What drew you to working at a marketing agency?
— I loved the opportunity to work in all sorts of different projects, everything from branding and packaging, to web design and ux, to even product design. Tons of things to learn.

Favorite thing about Salt Lake City?
— the access to literally anything you’d ever want from a city for adventurers. Snow in the winter, hiking and camping in the summer, mountains, lakes, rivers, good food, etc.

What’s your favorite 80s movie?
— hands down the goonies.

Android or iPhone?
— is that even a question? iPhone.

Where did you grow up?
— born on the east coast, half of my childhood in Los Angeles, all the rest took place here!

Who inspires you?
— I love work by artists like Keith Haring, ai weiwei, olafur eliason, and Banksy, people who really go out of their way to change perspectives and expectations of art and of society.

What’s your favorite dessert?
— just good ol ice cream, preferably cookie dough or strawberry

Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer?
— fall for sure, canyon drives and sweater season

Han Solo or Indiana Jones?
— Han Solo, #starwarsislife

If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?
— any of the Calvin and Hobbs books

Pick any superpower that you’d love to have.
— I’d kill to be able to fly

How many countries have you visited?
— I believe I’m at 15? Not positive on that… potentially 16.

Llamas or Alpacas?
— had one too many experiences with llamas, let’s go with alpacas. They make nice sweaters.

Favorite show to binge-watch?
— new girl, hands down.

What is your biggest accomplishment?
— I had the opportunity to design and launch a watch company on Kickstarter and essentially build everything from the ground up. Branding, website, business plan, and the actual watch itself.

Which celebrity do you want to meet the most?
— ohhhh that’s rough, I’d probably say Steve Carell or Steve Martin, just because of the huge influences they’ve had on my life with their movies and shows.

How many siblings do you have?
— 3 siblings, 3 step-siblings, and a half-sister

Ski or snowboard or neither?
— ski is also life

Do you have a favorite color?
— I’d like to say it’s this fun red color called carmine red, but I tend to wear a lot of black these days… so idk

What is your favorite quote and why?
— “that which we persist in doing becomes easier, not that the nature of the thing has changed, but our ability to do it has increased.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. I just really love this because it’s an amazing reminder that no matter what sort of thing you’re dealing with, we as humans grow and improve, and eventually it won’t actually matter what it is we’re doing, we’ll eventually grow enough to accomplish the challenge.
