How do you get to the top of Google? That is the question that we probably hear the most. Many of our clients are not new business’ and have had a website for years but are now concerned that what used to be a “token effort” at this area of marketing has become the focus point of many of their competitors and because of this they are being left behind. If you are feeling that you have been left behind don’t worry, it’s not too late, you can still get there without breaking the bank.
Before you make the move to engage in online advertising, here are some things to think about;
- What is my message?
- Does my product or service have local or national appeal?
- Can my business cope with rapid expansion?
- What kind of results do you want, Video, Paid, Mapping or Organic search results?
Once you have an idea of the answers to these questions you have a starting point,the next phase is what most people struggle with, I call it the 3 C’s
That may sound easy to you looking at it but think about it …. Do you have time in your busy work schedule to it down and create content a couple of times a week? How about once a week? Ok, how about once a month? That might sound doable … but … are you really demonstrating consistency? Well there you have the choice of 2 solutions, the 1st is to part with your hard earned cash and pay someone and the 2nd is plain old HARD WORK, yep … no magic wands, no rabbit in a a hat trick, just hard work. There will be those that offer shortcuts and quick solutions but Google always catches on to them but ultimately it will do more harm than good, quality content is king.
